The W.C. Handy Festival app is a collaborative UX project. It is a jazz festival located in Florence, AL. Through the years the crowds began weakening due to lack of marketing and difficulty on how to work website. This app is designed to make it easier for the users allowing them to search, see all events in order, create their own schedule, and having a map option to get directions to each event.​

As a user experience designer, my goal is to make the mobile app better than the desktop website experience. We studied the issues of the desktop version and the reasons people were frustrated by it. We adjusted the app based on results from user studies in each iteration. 

We made it accessible to search-specific terms with an organized results page.

 

 

​The biggest adjustment made was adding a View Schedule page. This enhances the users experience by letting them select specific events they are interested in attending. It allows them to review the schedule and sends the user alerts to remind them about their events.
