Archetypes Collage Series

This project is a series based on the idea of the most common archetypes as described by Carl Jung.

Some would say our experiences make us who we are. I’m not the same person I was five years ago or even one year ago. And neither are you. We are always growing, learning, changing. I’ve always enjoyed collage, using bits and pieces I find and combining them into pleasing compositions. I went back to my roots of photography with this series, capturing the models portraying each of the archetypes.

Archetypes are universal patterns and ideas that are unconsciously used to make sense of the world and the people around us. We can relate to different archetypal characters at different points in our lives. No archetype is better or worse than any of the others. They represent traits that we all can learn from.

Maybe you can recognize aspects of these archetypes in yourself or others.

The additional images used in these collages come from unsplash.com.
